That one word called "magic"

Definitely not something for boys but I am too tempted not to let this thought go without writing...

So I saw Cinderella movie today .....the theatre full of females still shows no matter how thick skinned or tough, we woman think we are or portray ourselves to the outer world but deep down inside, every female feels like that girly girl and believes in Cinderella, Frozen, Magnificent.....the list can go on and on....and that one word called "MAGIC".

I know for very sure that in today's day and age, believing in fairy tales and fairy god mothers is absolutely foolish.....but you could be a Cinderella or a princess for your parents; for people who loves you and not necessarily it means finding that prince charming. Simple and true gestures from someone dear could bring that 'magic' into your life.

PS: my colleague couldn't stop laughing at me today when I said I love watching these fairy tale movies as it is not easy to believe knowing that I am actually not a girly girl with anyone....but why couldn't I be that girl who loves her both sides - a tough woman with people but with a heart which still believes in that word called magic. Ofcourse magic also happens when you work hard as nothing comes free.....know that for sure.

PPS: the laughing episode didn't end at me just liking watching such movies but also that I can share common interests (watching cartoons or fairy tales) and share the same sized clothes with my future daughter (if I would ever have one).....how very MEAN....tch tch!!!

Oh well, no matter how much I like my Bond and Fast & Furious kinda movies, I am proud to say I do believe in magic and Elsa or Cinderella or tough women with mushy hearts!

Devil scuba dives in Mexico!

On day 3 in Cancun, I had booked scuba diving for both me and my friend. So we had to get to the place called Marina Punta Este at 8.30 am. Now where my friend was already having fear jitters with no sleep from the previous night about diving, my bloodstream was full of too much alcohol from a day before ( I suppose 3 cocktails of sunrise tequila during the day on the cruise ship and a big glass of wine in evening after 3 months of complete no alcohol, I definitely pushed my boundaries too much and too hard๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜) plus bare minimum sleep, getting up early was not easy. Then of course I had jitters too for diving as we both are complete non - swimmers with water phobia.

But this time, I was definitely determined to go for diving whereas my friend eventually chickened out and went for jungle speed boat trip. Oooh before I forget, my diver - Valentine or Mr V as we called him, gave me a new name - Luna Llena (which means full moon night in Spanish and which is an actual meaning of my real Indian name!). The whole time we spent with him, he referred me with that name only (must admit this only added a confusion to my tipsy head as few times I didn't realise he was talking to me !!)!!

In our boat for diving, apart from me and Mr V, there was a group of 3 friends from Korea studying in the US and a certified diver from Canada (sorry can't mention their names as first of all too complicated in case of Korean girls and secondly my head was bit heavy with alcohol headache and diving fear to care about that...not good socially, I know ).

As part of the diving hours, we were supposed to take half an hour diving lessons with all gear in 10 meters deep sea water and then dive twice - one for 35 min in 35-40 meters deep sea to see MUSA underwater national museum and then second time for 20 minutes to see coral reefs. So on the way to our diving training place (which was about 20-25 minutes in the boat), we picked up 3 sets of oxygen cylinders for each of us while Mr V explained us all the rules and instructions of diving in the boat.
In our group, Mr Canadian was already a certified diver and had dived in few places before, I sneak peeked in his diving log book!, one of the Korean girls had dived once in Asia who knew swimming well and the other 2 girls knew swimming well too with snorkeling/ swimming experience in the sea before. That left me out being total naive who had never gone in the swimming pool before or know ABCD of how to even float, again not good lah....arghhh

Training lesson place:
We all were decked up in full diving gear (now as part of this gear, you just not only wear wet-suit, fins, snorkel mask and jacket carrying oxygen cylinder weighing about 20 kg but also have to wear a belt carrying one- third of your body weight. So all in all I had about 35 kg plus weight on myself. I was both excited and nervous to dive.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜....ummmm more nervous to be honest....

Mr Canadian just picked up his mask n went for snorkeling and missed training lesson (ofcourse). Other 3 Korean girls jumped in the water and started floating easily and when my chance came, I was definitely having a panic attack.

The worst part is they throw you in the water with your back towards the sea as you are carrying too much weight on the back, hence it's not possible to jump facing the water with such heavy gear on. So I thought Mr V will come to fetch me when his assistant will throw me in the water, but holy shit, MR V was busy with the other girls and the moment I fell in water, I started sinking in and thought I am gonna die and panicked. Mr V's assistant said why am I panicking, just relax and use my fins to float. Grrrr, idiot didn't know how I was feeling๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜...anyway I finally found the hold of rope in the water and balanced myself. Since water was only 10 meters deep, I managed to now float or atleast stay bit stable instead of feeling getting drowned. Now Mr V said we need to go under the water to learn all the instructions he had given in the boat earlier. As soon as I went down, I forgot what all he taught us and inhaled so much sea water and started choking. Mr V gave us the same instructions under water again and then I thought I did okayish especially because I was also holding rope underwater and knew the ground was reachable so was the surface. I had got the hang of breathing through oxygen piece without trying to breath through nose and started using the fins.

We got back in the boat after 30 minutes of training lesson.

Dive part 1 - MUSA national underwater museum.
20 min further going into the sea, we were at our first diving location - its called Cancun Underwater Museum or MUSA (check this link out: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cancun_Underwater_Museum). We got ready in our diving gear again and started jumping in water one by one. I went fourth this time after Mr V, the Canadian guy and the 2 Korean girls, had yet another panic attack after falling in the water but it went away as quickly as it came. We held the rope and started going down the underwater one by one. Mr V was helping each of us while checking our stats on the meters attached to our cylinder jackets. This time I had bit of a problem with my ears since the air pressure goes down underwater. Important rule of diving - never play with your ear drums, if you have an issue and having ear problem, let your instructor know. Mr V told me the way to manage air pressure but since I was doing it first time so deep, I had to constantly hold my nose tight and use the technique for managing air pressure. See my picture here, it looks hilarious as I was holding my nose pretty much the whole time. I was more comfortable this time being in the water and then Mr V never let go off my hand! Sweet he was! I was following him wherever he was going now.

While Mr V was taking photos and checking on other guys, I was busy keeping a check on air pressure on my ears and seeing the brilliant statues and the sea life. I seriously can't explain in words how great and beautiful that world is....mmmm...we went around the museum for 35-40 minutes and then came back to the boat. The Korean girls were looking after each other especially the one who had done diving before and Mr Canadian was busy in his own world although he was supposed to keep an eye on 2 Korean girls ( lazy Canadians!). The 2 Korean girls who were first time divers went sea sick as soon as they got back to the boat and were feeling dizzy. Mr V said I did brilliant in my first dive and didn't worry him much!! HOORAY!!....

Dive part 2 - Coral Reefs
Yet another 15 min boat ride and we anchored for second part of the dive for 20 minutes to see coral reefs. This time the 2 sick Korean girls refused to go as one of them was already puking. Mr Canadian put on his gear and dived in, followed by the Korean girl who was a second time diver now and then me (I was very determined to dive again as my first dive went brilliant!).

This time I didn't even have a slight panic attack after jumping in the water and was floating alright. We then started going down in the sea. This time my ears started playing more funnier than in the dive before, as we went deeper in the water and started following the diving track. I told Mr V , he rubbed my ears and tried to make me follow the instructions again for managing the air pressure. For few minutes, I was fine and we went ahead but after that my right ear was hurting, again I tried the trick and it worked okay for few more minutes of diving. But soon the pain came back....this time I told Mr V, I wanna go back to the boat. So all in all, I stayed underwater for 10 -15 minutes. When I got back to the boat, the 2 sick Korean girls were still puking and feeling unwell...:-(

Other guys stayed in the sea 10 more minutes later and then returned to the boat. Apparently in this dive, Mr Canadian was struggling too with the water going through his snorkel mask but he blamed it on too much booze the night before ( really??!!) but the Korean gal with the previous diving experience had a great time!

I had to do a few tricks to get the air pressure back to normal in my ears (and to be honest even after a day and half, I can still feel a slight pain in my right ear. It's better than what it was on the diving day but Mr V assured it will get back to normal soon). After we all settled in the boat, Mr V told me I wasn't following the instructions right or had rather forgotten the technique for managing air pressure in this dive and needed to work on it.

All in all I had a great great time and a complete out of the world experience, something which is always going to be close to my heart. Seeing such a beautiful underwater world is simply beyond imagination, if you have not dived or snorkeled before.

My first diving experience has made me more determined to definitely dive again but with few things on my checklist:
- take swimming lessons (knowing swimming is not necessary for diving but definitely helps to get rid of your water fear and secondly helps you to manoeuvre your own way instead of holding instructor's hand). Note: no matter how good diver or swimmer you are, the diving rule is to stick with your group underwater.
- people like me who are bad at listening should follow the instructions more thoroughly (and practice more during training lesson in case of doubts).
- Important note: No boozing a lot the night or the day before diving;-);-) like I and Mr Canada did!
- I will practice managing air pressure technique properly while taking swimming lessons which atleast will make me more trained the next time as that was the biggest issue I struggled with during the coral reef dive.

For my whole diving experience, I definitely want to say a BIG thank you to Mr V and definitely recommend Marina Punta Este if you ever plan to dive in Cancun (http://www.puntaestemarina.com)

Note: I have heard enough from friends and young people that how Zindangi na milegi dobara had made them do these things. So if you're planning to dive just after getting inspired from the movie, please get your mind right as after being good swimmers, all actors took 2-3 days lessons before diving ( check making of ZNMD if you don't trust my words) and don't do something that you are not 100% sure or determined of doing. Diving is indeed a beautiful experience but definitely not as easy as the movie portrayed.

PS: I have promised Mr V, I am coming back to Cancun soon for diving again with him. And yes I will dive again:)

Holiday part 1 - Cancun, Mexico (14th March 2015)

So finally we (me and my friend) landed in Cancun on Saturday, 14th March 2015 after 11 hours plus long flight from London, welcomed by long immigration and total chaotic custom clearance queues at Cancun International Airport. But we being Indians, we are pretty well trained with such chaos in India, so it was all good in the hood so far!!

As soon as we got out of the airport, we saw palm trees and our faces were hit by warm breeze. Now I can't tell you how good that feels when you're coming from cold Blighty where warm breeze and palm trees are non existent!!

Our pre-booked transfer cab was waiting and we got to our resort - Grand Park Royal. Here starts the fun now!!

This holiday so far had started from a very good note from London airport itself. We got all 3 seats to two of us in economy class so plenty of leg space. And wait, best part - since our resort was fully booked out on Ocean view deluxe rooms that we had paid for, the desk staff wanted us to pay little extra for an upgrade but we being stingy and already paid a bomb price for this resort, said not a single penny more. Since the staff had no choice, they gave us the free upgrade to beach facing Villa having a private access to the beach, a small private pool and a dedicated cabana on the beach outside our villa. Now I have stayed in plenty of 5 & 4 star resorts/hotel rooms during my travels but having a private villa with so many perks, MAN that I call a pure LUXURY!! (do you think I am flaunting now and sounding like a total snob, well then you're right! I actually don't care what you're thinking....hehehe). The resort was so so beautiful. Getting up to sun shining on your face and the sound of sea waves, I can't even describe that feeling in words here......mmmmm....( all I could have asked more was having a sight of Daniel Craig jogging outside the villa and may be actually coming to me....mmmm....yummmy...haha!!)

Day 2 - it started with bit late morning having late brekkie, going out for long stroll along the beach, splashing water at each other and then relaxing in cabana gazing over the Caribbean Sea for hours, chit chatting random girls gossip and ofcourse having a free cocktail and drinks served to us (our resort deal included an all inclusive food and drinks whole day throughout the stay with no extra charge!!)

The resort had loads of activities going on, so after having a shower and lunch etc, afternoon I did a bit of salsa dancing while my friend shot a video of the same! So if you fancy checking out the video, you can do that on my facebook page. Dancing is always fun even though I am not too good at it, unfortunately got two left feet!!

The resort had a poker event for the evening which we both had no interest in, so for us evening meant yet more strolls along the beach, eating- drinking, more sea gazing from the villa.

Day 3 - we had a whole day sailing trip booked from 9 am - 5 pm around Cancun National Park zone and visiting Isla Mujeres island (I hate getting up early on holidays but since we are Indians, we try to pack as much sight seeing activities as possible on a holiday and then sleep becomes a rare commodity. Basically you need another break to recover from a holiday tiredness. Hey ho!).

Time to put yet another pair of bikini on, get more tanned on the decks of cruise ship and ofcourse for me, means more sunrise tequila cocktails, HIC HIC! After couple of hours sailing, we got an hour and a half break on Isla Mujeres. We strolled on the island's main street for sometime and then ended up in a restaurant for ice creams because it was really hot. In the restaurant, we met up a lovely old Gujarati couple ( Malay and Hema from Southern California), had a great time chatting for an hour with them. Malay was really funny and Hema was trying to control his cheekiness (why we females are so cautious whole time and never let our guards down. Seems like this needs a whole another blog to write about!!). The topics of conversation ranged from how different me and my friend are in our personalities ( apparently I am a daring free spirit soul and my friend is a calm soul. Really??...I have doubts about my personality dissection but anyway!); travels; London- US living (Malay had lived in London before moving to the US); how Delhi- Bombay snobbishness differs even though the conclusion is same - we all are snobs in one or the other way except Delhi people accept it openly and Bombay people keep defying it! Am I not sounding a true Delhite....hahaha!

After lovely time with our gujju couple, we got back on the cruise ship with yet another short stopover for lunch at another tiny island. After lunch, we continued sailing for another hour or so and then got back to the resort around 6ish in the evening.  We showered, changed and went out for dinner. This time resort had organised an evening with bit of dancing and fun games. Ofcourse I participated in both activities meanwhile sipping my white wine! Yet again if you fancy checking out the vidoes, you got to visit my facebook page where all video settings are public! Had a great time and again late night for us going to bed.

Day 4 - this was booked for scuba diving. So scuba diving was on my to do list since my school time and it went on "more determined wishlist" thing after seeing caves during Bermuda work trip and watching few movies on cave explorations. Though it was planned after taking swimming lessons first and then trying my hand on it. But when my brother dived in Maldives last month and said knowing swimming isn't necessary, I knew I am definitely doing this sooner than later (and my determination of diving definitely didn't come from ZNMD movie as I did check "making" of the movie to keep my expectations right!).

I wanted to capture each and every moment of my diving experience so have written a separate next blog for the same:-) and must say its a great experience to the different world! LOVED IT!
(You can ignore that blog if you're not into such things and don't want to get bored reading a long story!)

After finishing diving, time to say goodbyes to Mr V, my diving instructor and head to the resort with wonderful life long first dive memories and yet another evening of relaxing, beach strolls and packing for Miami.

Day 5 - since it was our last half day in Cancun, I felt bit heavy in heart while getting up that morning....I kept lying in bed and looking out at the sea and never wanted to leave the place.
We lingered longer for the breakfast enjoying every last minute spent in the resort.

And then came time to check out and the desk guy took our resort wrist bands off ( as part of all inclusive deal, the staff tie a permanent wrist band while checking-in, which is your identity being resort guests and allows you to eat/ drink anytime in the resort. The guests are not supposed to take it off or lose it as any additional band cost is US$75). I actually felt like the resort staff had divorced us by taking the bands off.....hmmm.....hey ho....we loved our stay in Cancun but now equally excited to see Miami!!

Totally recommend Grand Park Royal Caribe Cancun resort, if you ever plan to visit Cancun.

Now off we go to Miami.......next blog from there:-)

Holiday Part 2 - Miami (18th March 2015)

Cancun to Miami is a short hour and a quarter flight. There is also an hour lesser time difference between London/Miami than London/Cancun which is 5 hours ( I finally used this time to write my earlier blogs on Mexico instead of slacking!)

Immigration clearance was bit of a bummer for my friend who got stuck at the airport due to some stupid issues (officer not finding her ESTA clearance number on the system or may be she was annoyed with something...hell knows) but this meant we had to wait for an additional 2 hours at the airport. This definitely dampened my friend's holiday spirit a bit but I suppose there isn't much one can do on these things but be patient.

Anyway once she cleared her immigration, we took a taxi and got to our Hotel - Hilton Downtown Miami in the downtown area. Since Miami is a very expensive city with hotels and resorts being super expensive in south beach area, Hilton Downtown is definitely a good hotel option in a handy location with good places to eat out and with a short taxi ride to south beach.

Since we didn't have much time left in the evening this day, we checked in the hotel and chose to go out for an Indian dinning (after eating too much Italian and Mexican food all this time).

Day 2 - got up really late, got ready and went out for a bit of stroll in the area to have breakfast. We found this really beautiful small cafe shop where the lady at the counter was Argentinean - really beautiful, chatty and accommodating. As usual, I had my standard latte whereas the lady made my friend try her favourite Argentinian Green Hills tea. Good strategy to promote the local culture, eh! After this, this cafe became our favourite brekkie place for our stay in Miami!

Late afternoon was booked for pretty boring standard city trip - after all, one has to try and know the city, especially travelers like us who just pick up a holiday destination and never bother reading about it before visiting!

Few interesting facts about Miami, we got to know from our tour guide: 67% of Miami population is from Latin and South America and secondly Cuba being only 90 miles away from Key West ( the lowest tip point of the USA), there used to be "Wet Feet, Dry Feet" immigration policy for Cubans (check this link: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_feet,_dry_feet_policy)

Oooh, the entertaining part to mention - when we got to Little Havana area where we got our first break from the city tour, me and my friend wanted to get our pictures clicked with this big COCK outside one of the restaurants. My friend's piccie turn went all good but when my turn came, this guy ( must mention, a very handsome bloke!!) started interfering and coming around, doing random things while talking loudly in Spanish on the phone. I was really annoyed and after trying a few times when I couldn't get rid of him, gave up on getting a picture clicked.

Later on he told us he was doing that as a prank on the visitors for some Spanish TV channel show (and the guy was really cheeky as he straight went for a hug and a peck on my cheek instead of actually apologising.....hehehe...but definitely am not upset about that as how often do you actually get a hug or a peck from handsome boys, atleast I don't, never had..hehehe). So now if you ever spot me being fooled around on a Spanish TV channel, please do send me the link or information of the same (as me being dumb like always in a handsome guy's presence, forgot to ask his channel and show name...stupid me...tch tch).

In the evening, after our boat trip which was part of the city tour, we ended up staying till late for shopping, dinner and live music performance in Bayside Market place, a really nice hangout place.

Day 3 - yet another lazy late morning, we spent some time sun bathing on the hotel's rooftop pool side area and later headed to South beach in the late afternoon. I spent a couple of hours in the ocean enjoying the warmth of the Atlantic while my friend, still scared of the water, was chilling on the beach. We did Jetski (friend was really really happy after her first Jetski experience but I am sort of a pro (are you calling me show-off, hehe!!) for having it done few times in south-east Asia!. Though must admit, I am still a wimp when it comes to going too fast on jetski!). The jetski guy who went with us was a lovely big Caribbean bloke who kept saying "I gotch you baby" and "this is Atlantic Ocean"....hahaha.. Sweet!

In the evening we went for late lunch/dinner on the Ocean drive. This area is the heart of Miami; buzzing, lively and you can see the best cars passing by on the road. Restaurants compete with each other on the loud music to attract more crowd. So we sat in one of those restaurants, the music was foot tapping and the food was good. The girl who was serving us asked me to show my ID since I had ordered an alcoholic cocktail.....arghhhh....I don't like this for getting ID'ed at every bloody pub or a restaurant for drinks....anyway I told her, I am not carrying any ID but she can trust me that I am definitely over 18...huhh....so she agreed to give me my first Cosmopolitan! Thank you sweetie....a pretty girl from Kazakistan.

Then I ordered my another drink and this time Strawberry Margarita on the ice. Hahaha.....the expression on the girl's face was a bit worried and she said to me, it's a GIANT drink, am I sure I want it?.....she really thought I was lying about my age and that I definitely can't fit that drink in such a tiny frame of mine....if only she knew how much I like my cocktails๐Ÿ˜‰. After she served me Margarita, she kept checking on me the whole evening if I was still okay! But apparently by the time we left the restaurant and headed for the hotel, I was pretty drunk or "pissed" per my friend's words....I was happy high - dancing, enjoying second last day of our holiday!

Holiday note to myself: if you enjoy your cocktails, start training your stomach on an alcohol a bit early ahead of the holidays, especially if you are on a no alcohol policy from sometime. Leaving it till the last minute you arrive at a holiday destination doesn't do any good!

Day 4 and our last day in Miami - I got up with a heavy head from previous night's drinks, so definitely needed a stronger coffee to start my day. We kept the day easy, checked out late, had late breakfast with yet another strong coffee and then spent a couple of hours in the Marina Park Museum a few blocks away from our hotel. We headed to the airport in the evening, shopped - to keep myself cheered up from the sad feeling of our holiday ending too soon;  I have treated myself with Prada glasses and got a MK bag for my sister (US airports are not duty free - how very weird...huhhh) and now flying back to cold gloomy Blighty......I wanted to nap a bit in the flight but as usual, I can never get any sleep on the flights so instead of procrastinating writing, I am finishing my holiday blog...

Yet another holiday note to myself: Need a massive control on the expenses and my bad habit of over-shopping.....grrrr....

Strange London weather

I have seen the UK weather being erratic for very long now but today (March 3, 2015) was an exception so far, for me atleast. So the day started as a crisp and clear cold morning with the sun shining but in the afternoon, in a span of few minutes, suddenly there was massive snowflakes started falling down followed with rains & hails and then a sunshine again….for moments, we couldn’t believe (and trust me literally it was whole floor full of people) if it is actually big snowflakes or just hails but it was indeed snowing…. after roughly 10-15 minutes of snow and rains, it was all sunny again………this is we call bizarre blighty weather. Only thing left was to witness tornados now!!!

Holiday Frenzies!

2 days to go before I head out to Mexico for a week holiday but I have already gone so restless in last few days that my mind can’t concentrate in anything. I have been day dreaming of beaches, sand and sun. It’s surprising that I have never waited to get away on a holiday this badly before and gone into stage of day dreaming for it, the outcome of which was me drawing a sketch of myself overlooking sea and lost in thoughts, on my office notebook while actually working!

I would have shared the sketch here but unfortunately I can’t - firstly because my drawing is awful and secondly I drew it on the page in middle of other important office notes.

Is it a sign for something? A change may be? I don’t know but something definitely not working right….oh well, 2 more days and the devil will be in Mexico - lying on beach, soaking in sun and sipping cocktails after 3 months of no alcohol and no holiday. May be its no alcohol in my bloodstream for this long which is driving me crazy!! Who knows!!

So next blog will be from sunny Mexican beaches, dancing on Spanish music and may be me doing scuba diving too, if only I will gather enough courage for that!!

Missing colours in life....

It is Holi today; my favourite festival for playing with the colours, having a great time with friends/parents and best part - dancing on dhol music…..and here I am slogging at work and looking at friends pictures of Holi celebrations with friends and family.

These are the moments which make you feel so lonely and contemplating what you are doing with your life and why are you away from those dear ones that you cared about so much and friends that you grew up with.

I remember when I was a kid, Holi preparations used to start one week early helping Mom prepare some Holi rituals’ based stuff and making plans with friends - how much and what type of colours, balloons etc to buy.

Holi day meant getting up really early and ensuring you have enough buckets ready, full of water mixed with darkest colours and balloons filled with colour mixed water. This is to throw water and balloons on neighbours, people walking past your building blocks. And then when all friends are ready, going down in the park and colouring everyone with the worst colour you can get your hands on.

All this to be followed by dancing like mad on dhol music for hours and not letting the dhol guys move from their place until your dancing appetite is satisfied….Oh man, I miss those days.

Tattoo done....yippieeeee!

After years of contemplating, waiting, getting scared of needles, finally on 5th Feb 2015 I got a tattoo done on my back....yay yay yay....for once in life, I am pleased with myself and realised I am actually not as big scaredy cat as I used to think I am :)

So getting a tattoo done has been on my mind for years and years but I have this big time fear with needles, infact after every blood test or injection, I get blues in my arm which hurt atleast for a week, such a wimp I am...tch tch:)

Few years back when I was in Bali on a vacation once , I did try for 3 consecutive days going into a tattoo shop and running away every time the guy took the machine out. Infact on 3rd day, the tattoo guy said you gonna run away the moment I will take the needles etc out and I just agreed and left.

But this time it all started with some stupid joke going around and I had to post "I'm getting a tattoo done" as my facebook status as part of that prank.

After couple of days, one of girlfriends contacted me asking how did it go and do I recommend that.....hehehe...so I told her the truth but said I am quite up for it if she is ready too, which ofcourse she was.

Less then a week after that conversation, we both were standing in a tattoo shop for getting our tattoos done.

We both were hesitant but this time I was too determined not to run away and offered to get the tattoo done first. Voila in 45 minutes, it was done. Okay it did hurt a bit but it's done and I am really really happy....Angel wings on a devil's (me) back๐Ÿ˜‰!

Thanks to my girlfriend for contacting me and being there. Finally I ticked one long impending wish on my Wishlist!!

I am finally exercising ... Hallelujah

Now if anyone thinks about exercising, it is pretty normal thing to do for one who cares for being fit and healthy. But in my world, exercising is that one big word which needs commitment and hell of an effort. Knowing how lazy and non-committed I am, I have never ever stepped inside a gym in my whole life till date.

But for the past few years, it's been on my mind that I should start exercising specially with age increasing but hell, it is so BORING to go to the gym.

Anyway finally this week, I decided to drop my laziness and either join the gym or atleast do something about it.

Now the biggest trouble I had before joining the gym is I had absolutely no bloody clue how you start to workout or infact how do you even decide what do you need to workout or use those machines in the gym. So I asked one of my good friends if he can come with me for few days to the gym and may be tell me what to do so I won't feel ashamed ( didn't want to look dumb ass in the gym basically) which he ofcourse refused saying no time (boohoo...useless).

So I spoke to my boss ( whom I adore to bits for being always their when we need any advice and bless him for listening to my crap always!!) to recommend what can I do.  Here are the things he suggested - 30 minutes cross trainer and 10 min light weights to tone shoulders n arms (okay he did advice few more things but bloody hell 40 minutes is already too much for me so I ignored remaining part!!)

So now all excited knowing what I am going to do, I got on the cross trainer first time this week. Holy crap....jeez.....it is so tough to exercise! After 30 minutes, my legs hurt and my arms were sore....

I thought okay it's normal to feel pain after first exercise session but may be after second day, I will be fine or atleast feel better.

Day 2, I again got on to my exercise regime and my legs are feeling worse and more achy....

Now I am already having second thought if I should continue with it or chuck the whole exercising idea out from my head....pahhhh

Wish we girls were made god gifted natural beauties with best figures and without ever any need for make up or work outs.....hmmmm....life is tough!!

Disclaimer: Noone has to go through the torture of exercise!

Update as on 23.06.2016 (exactly 15 months 23 days later from this original post), I actually never bothered to get on my cross trainer or do any exercise after the day 2. I realised what is the point if I don't like it!!

Unexpected encounters n strange conclusions

Okay so after years of listening from friends that I should start putting my thoughts or rather nonsense blabbering in words, I finally found my mojo.

I suppose in all true honesty, I should dedicate my first blog to this person who truly inspired me to start blogging because till now I never got enough motivation to blog, even though I have met loads of inspirational people or whom I found totally devilishly handsome to do anything for!

Hey ho…here I am.

So how it all started:
We got introduced through parents and somehow the moment I saw his first photo, I thought I have fallen in love and it was with his smile! Further when I heard about his brief profile from mom (my focus was on his hobbies then his academics or career. I have met/known loads of similar or more academically read and successful career wise, but must say nothing to be enticed about), I thought this is exactly I ever wanted my dream guy to be (okay I agree I am being a bit of drama queen here!). Oh and did I tell you, I found a sort of resemblance of Mr. Raghuram Rajan (RBI governor of India) in him whom I always find insanely handsome☺️.
Note: when my friends and family heard the above, they completely disagree with my perception of him and tells me I am mad and weird more then they actually thought I am. Duhh..

Anyway we never had much conversations or messages exchange really or if ever we spoke, it was very brief which happened once in few weeks time with long awkward pauses. Guess 2 separate continents with 1000s of miles distance and different timezone or may be we both had our ego issues or atleast I had for not contacting him much if he can't be bothered either. Now someone who knows me even a little bit can't believe that a person like me can have pauses in conversations, as I have been told I have relentless energy to ramble about anything and everything!!

How this person became an inspiration:
So to cut the long story short, the whole thing died between us very quickly for no or bare minimum contact in less then month and a half time.
But since I was the one who was more intrigued with him (which is obvious in this case), I started jotting in my head what was it that really intrigued me about him because as such I had no idea what he is like as a person (because I never met him in person).

So here is the list:
His smile ( oh man I loved it!)
His hobbies
He is grounded nature wise
He is an outgoing person and not a total nerd, have aspirations to do things beyond just work life.

Ps: I am sure if this person would ever get around to read my blog, he will be smirking and calling me what an idiot girl she was. But thank you Mr Anonymous for briefly appearing in my life and I guess no doubt, you are the best till date happened to me ( or rather best till the time of writing this blog as who knows what lies in future ahead!).

So after making that list, instead of despising him for his behaviour (the reason for using this strong word here is do not say things that you don't mean or can't deliver especially when given several opportunities to say your mind out) , I found him a great source of inspiration to finally start penning down my thoughts instead of leaving it all in my head or just talking about it. Shit happens in life but I suppose it is on you how you take those encounters as and for this time, I definitely take it the best encounter with my heart pumping with all sorts of positive things ( that I also learnt from him and his positive attributes) to do that I only thought about earlier.

Anyway, I know this blog isn't the interesting kind at all but for me a good start to write more in the future !
